Badge Generator
Build a “Featured on Launchory” badge for your website. Pick a style, see it live, copy the snippet. No sign-up, no script tag, no tracking pixel — just an SVG and a link.
Add your listing URL above and the badge will show your startup's name and live upvote count.
Embed code
Paste this into your site's footer or about page. It is a plain image and link — no script, no tracking, nothing that can slow your page down.

Where to place the badge
Put it in your footer if you want one answer and no thinking: it renders on every page, it sits where visitors already look for trust signals, and it never competes with your own call to action. The two other placements that work well are an about page (next to your story, where “featured on” reads as credibility rather than decoration) and a press or media page alongside any other coverage you have collected.
Two things to avoid. Do not hide the badge behind a tab, accordion, or anything that only renders after a user interaction — our verifier fetches your page's HTML, so a badge injected later by JavaScript is invisible to it. And do not put it on a subdomain or a page that is not linked from your homepage; keep it on the domain you actually submitted.
Why directories ask for a badge
A directory that hands out dofollow links to anyone who fills in a form is, from a search engine's point of view, a link farm — and links from it are worth nothing to you. Asking every listed startup to display a badge is how a directory keeps the exchange honest in both directions: we send authority to you, you acknowledge us back. It also means the listings are real products with real websites, which is what makes the directory worth browsing in the first place.
On Launchory that is not decoration, it is the mechanic. Verifying your badge is what turns your listing link dofollow instead of nofollow, and for a free listing it is also the step that publishes you. There is more on how we think about this in our guide to directory backlinks.
Getting your own live badge
The badge above works right now, but the version with your startup's name and live upvote count needs a listing. Submitting one is free and takes about three minutes — then come back, paste your listing URL into the field above, and the badge fills itself in. Questions people ask
Do I need an account to use the badge generator?
No. The generator is public and the preview runs in your browser. You only need a Launchory listing if you want the badge to show your startup’s name and live upvote count — without one it renders the plain Launchory badge, which is still a valid link back to us.
Where should I put the badge on my site?
The footer is the best default: it appears on every page, it is where visitors expect trust marks, and it never competes with your own conversion path. An about page, a press/media page, or a “featured in” strip on the homepage all work too. Avoid burying it behind a tab or loading it with JavaScript — our verifier fetches your page’s HTML, so the badge has to be in the markup.
Will the badge slow my site down?
No. It is a single SVG served from our CDN with a 24-hour cache and no JavaScript at all. The snippet is one anchor tag wrapping one image.
What does embedding the badge get me?
On Launchory it is the mechanic behind the whole directory: verify the badge on your site and your listing link becomes dofollow, which means the SEO authority actually passes through to you. Free listings are published once the badge is verified, so it is also the step that puts your listing live.
Can I restyle the badge or use my own image?
Use one of the styles here — dark, light, or compact — so the badge stays recognisable and our verifier can find it. You may scale it proportionally to fit your layout. Please do not recolour the mark or alter the wordmark.
