FileNest Worktools

FileNest Worktools is a privacy-first browser toolkit for people who regularly need to organize, convert, inspect, or prepare files without installing another desktop application. The current toolkit includes batch file renaming with prefixes, suffixes, text replacement, sequential numbering, reverse numbering, zero padding, and custom ordering. It also provides image conversion between JPG, PNG, and WebP, image resizing and compression, local image-to-text OCR with editable output, PDF merge, split, extraction, and images-to-PDF workflows, text export to DOCX, PDF, TXT, Markdown, and HTML, CSV, TSV, and JSON conversion, plus duplicate-file detection based on file contents. For the current browser-local file tools, file contents are processed on the user's device instead of being uploaded to a remote conversion server. This makes the tools useful for everyday office documents, client files, private images, teaching materials, and other files that do not need to leave the device just to complete a simple operation. FileNest also focuses on making risky actions visible. Renaming workflows show previews before download, original files remain unchanged, image tools report real output details, and OCR results can be reviewed before use. The site works directly in a modern browser, offers English and Chinese interfaces, and provides core tools without requiring a software installation. The goal is simple: reduce repetitive file work while keeping the workflow understandable, lightweight, and privacy-conscious.
